James O’Connor is a TD for the constituency of Cork East and was first elected to Dáil Éireann in the 2020 General Election. Previously, James served as a member of Cork County Council for the Midleton (East Cork) Municipal Area. Living outside Youghal, Co. Cork, James is the youngest of three siblings and comes from a farming family. Alongside his role as a constituency TD, James is the Fianna Fáil Transport Spokesperson. He is also a member of the Public Accounts Committee and the Transport and Communications Committee.
